Cult Trend: Cara Delevinge Tee

Ever since we saw Rita Ora in her 'Queen Delevinge' tee at the Burberry show in support of her 'wifey' model of the moment Cara Delevinge, we have all been obsessed with the label Blackscore.

This tee shirt screams cool, and as well as being a super stylish memento from London Fashion Week, it solidifies what the fashion world has been thinking for  months - Cara Delevinge is the Queen of cool and the new Queen of Fashion.

After being the named the new 'Kate Moss' by mutiple fashion industry insiders, this girl has become more than the new 'it girl' but a supermodel in her own right; as well as being crowned 'Model of the Year' at last year's British Fashion Awards.

Oscars Best Dressed:

The 2013 Oscars was an amazing night full of fun, glamour and amazing couture, yes the stars went all out for this years Oscars red carpet with some saying that this is the best dressed Oscar's to date! I recently wrote an article about my thoughts on who was Best Dressed of the night for NZ Blog Mac and Mae, here is the full article below:

Hollywood's biggest stars on the Oscar's red carpet

The fashion this awards season has been nothing short of spectacular, so it was no surprise that the stars pulled out all the stops on Hollywood’s biggest night for the 85th Academy Awards.

Jessica Chastain, Charlize Theron and Naomi Watts at the 2013 Academy Awards

No doubt about it, neutrals and metallic’s ruled the red carpet, with stars such as Jessica Chastain in Armani Prive, Charlize Theron in Christian Dior Haute Couture and Naomi Watts in Armani Prive ensuring that shimmer and sparkle were the trend of the night.

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture

Jennifer Lawrence stunned on the red carpet in a breathtaking Dior Haute Couture gown, Lawrence who has just been named the new face of the fashion house, oozed old Hollywood glamour with a chic up do and stunning Chopard jewels.

Amy Adams in Oscar de la Renta

Amy Adams also went old school, with a beautiful pale blue Oscar de le Renta gown, though she didn’t win Best Supporting Actress, she really did have her Cinderella moment in this stunning couture creation.

Zoe Saladana in Alexis Mabille and Kerry Washington in Miu Miu

Fashionista Zoe Saladana kept things interesting in a structured Alexis Mabille Couture dress and Neil Lane jewels; as did Kerry Washington who stood out in a stunning Miu Miu creation; these girls certainly know how to bring high fashion to the red carpet!

Anne Hathaway in Prada

Red carpet queen Anne Hathaway has been a stand out all season, with that vintage Chanel securing her style icon status at the Golden Globes; and with every designer dying to get their creations on her now sample size frame, tonight was sure to be another hit out of the park. But Anne who was originally wearing her BFF Valentino, changed her mind last minute to none other than Prada. Now, don’t get me wrong this dress is stunning; but a little ill fitted around the bust, and quite frankly I expected more from Hathaway (who had clearly rehearsed her acceptance speech). Even still this fashionista gets my Best Dressed vote, just not Best Dressed of the night – Sorry Anne!

Amanda Seyfried in Alexander Mcqueen and Catherine Zeta-Jones in Zuhair Murad

Anne’s Les Miserables co-star Amanda Seyfried also stood out in a beautiful Alexander McQueen creation, as did Chicago star Catherine Zeta-Jones in a shimmering gold Zuhair Murad gown who performed a number from the hit musical at the awards.

Nicole Kidman in L'wren Scott

Red Carpet favourite Nicole Kidman looked every inch a movie star in a sequin mermaid inspired L’wren Scott, which showed off her curvaceous body – who knew?

Now for the worst dressed. This year it was harder to pick considering there were so many style mavens on the red carpet, but unfortunately there are a few on my list.

Jennifer Hudson in Roberto Cavalli

Firstly Jennifer Hudson. Don’t get me wrong she looked great but ultimately she failed to impress in her Roberto Cavalli creation.

Kelly Rowland in Donna Karen
Kelly Rowland looked like she was trying to do a Beyonce with than monochrome Donna Karen gown, she killed it at the Grammy’s in that black Georges Chakra so I was expecting a little more – you can be bootilicious too Kel!

Jennifer Garner in Gucci at the 2013 Oscars and at the 2007 Golden Globes also in Gucci

Jennifer Garner has failed to impress me all season! The custom Gucci she wore was fine, but it didn’t scream “wow…look at me…my husband is an Academy Award winner!” Now, I know Jen likes to play down whole the ‘I’m a movie star’ thing, but come on women, you need to step it up! These simple, strapless gowns aren’t working for you any longer, please glam it up, (do you remember Jennifer at the 2007 Golden Globes in that stunning white Gucci gown?) – you are a movie star Jen so start looking like one!

My top five red carpet looks from the 2013 Oscars

Overall my top 5 Best Dressed at the 2013 Academy Awards are:

1. Jennifer Lawrence in Christian Dior Haute Couture
2. Jessica Chastain in Armani Prive
3. Kerry Washington in Miu Miu
4. Anne Hathaway in Prada
5. Charlize Theron in Christian Dior Haute Couture

So that’s my thoughts on tonight’s Oscar’s red carpet, be sure to tune in next awards season for all the latest scoop on the actors, nominations and of course the fashion!
