Alexa Chung celebrated the Launch of her new book entitled 'It' at Liberty's in London yesterday. The fashion darling wore a navy blue Carven dress from the pre/summer 2014 collection.

The book, out now is a collection of Chung's style influences, personal illustrations, photographs, will no doubt be a sell out hit among the fashion savvy crowd.

Tiger Lilly - NZFW 2013:

Below is my review on Tiger Lilly's Winter 2014 collection, for NZ blog Mac & Mae - to read the full article on the site click here:

Tiger Lilly presented a fun colour Aztec tribal inspired collection for their 2014 collection. With an array of colourful bikinis, featuring stunning colourful one pieces, bright triangle tops and high waisted bikini bottoms in aztec, dotty and floral prints.
As usual Tiger Lilly also produced an exceptional line of daywear, from floral print jumpsuits and woven knit cardigans to chic day dresses, monochrome shorts, silk pants and a number of colourful bat wing knits and beautiful Kimono inspired bed jackets.
Highlights of the show was the spider woven multi coloured knit, the stunning Aztec one piece, floral Kimono bed jacket, multi coloured Aztec cardigan and wicked orange jumpsuit.
The collection will hit stores in the summer, so be in quick to snap up these must  have looks, because trust me they’re going to go quick!

Daniel K - NZFW 2013:

Below is my review on Daniel K's Winter 2014 collection, for NZ blog Mac & Mae -to read the full article on the site click here:

Daniel K presented a standout collection as a part of the Contemporary Salon Show yesterday. Designer Vanessa Kim, who prides herself on “offering unique designs that stand apart from the rest”, did just that for her Winter 2014 collection. Producing a simplistic yet sophisticated collection featuring an array of classic pieces for your everyday girl.

The collection presented two prominent prints this season, a stunning black and white silk design and a fun brown and black polka dot print. However, a majority of the looks focused on clean simplistic cuts that contoured the figure, and showed off Kim’s approach to classic dressing.
The standout pieces of the collection were the black and white patterned dress, the ultra luxe white trousers, the stunning Kimono inspired belt, the brown and black polka dot skirt and pants, and the blue cut out jumpsuit.  Over all, it was a beautiful collection with classic tailored pieces that can fit right in your wardrobe.

NZFW Day 2:

This is just a quick recap of all the shows at #NZFW Day 2, short and sweet as I have a thousand other reviews to do for macandmae.com - anyway I hope you enjoy!!

Trelise Cooper was absolutely amazing, with a set change and teepee, candy floss hair and exquisite dresses. The fabrics and colours were amazing, I loved the pink and green dress at the beginning, the white check dress and white sequin dresses were a stand out too, but the best by far were the black and white check, red ringmaster coat and the sequin gold finale dress! Overall it far exceeded my expectations, and proved why Trelise is the Queen of NZFW.

Stolen Girlfriend's club was insane, held at Red Bull headquarter's car-park, with over 800 people, it was madness! The clothes were amazing! Loved the red and black detailing, and the witchy finale dress was cool too! But what I really loved was the hats! The black felt fedora's were styled several different ways in the show, but would be a great basic hat to have in my wadrobe, definitely putting it on my wish list.

The Weddings Show was beautiful - loved the 1920's style gowns and the men's suits were very dapper indeed - particularly the white and the maroon!! The flower girls at Sera Lilly bridal show were a particular highlight, you could hear the audience awhhh as they came out with their little bouquets.

The Underground Installation was amazing too! Loved seeing them set up backstage before it opened!! The Jimmy D glitter installation would have to be my favourtie, but I did abousletly love Thistle Brown too!! The white glasses were to die for!! The photograph gallery was really cool too, loved everything about it!!

Below are the photos from the day from my phone and Instagram account!  Enjoy!!
